| 标题 | The Dragon Boat Festival | 端午节 |
| 正文 | The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. It is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. This festival has a long history and is closely related to the story of Qu Yuan, a famous poet who lived during the Warring States period. He was loyal to his country and committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River. To honor him, people began to throw rice into the river to prevent fish from eating his body. Over time, this practice evolved into making zongzi, which are sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. Another important tradition is dragon boat racing, where teams compete in boats decorated like dragons. These activities not only celebrate the festival but also promote health and unity among people. Today, the Dragon Boat Festival is not only celebrated in China but also in many other countries around the world, as it reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese people. |
